DAWFL League Secretary Role

The Down Area Winter Football League would like to seek applicants for the following role


LEAGUE SECRETARY


ROLE OVERVIEW:


Working with Down Area Winter Football League (DAWFL) Committee and member Clubs, the purpose of the role is to administer all aspects of the running of the League.


ROLE DESCRIPTION:


• To liaise with DAWFL Club Secretaries, the DAWFL Referee Convenor, the DAWFL Fixture Secretary, the DAWFL Committee, the County Antrim Football Association (CAFA), Irish Football Association (IFA) and other bodies on all matters relevant to the DAWFL.

• To monitor the DAWFL League email Account and respond to incoming communications accordingly.

• To be available for the monthly meetings of the DAWFL, create agendas and provide minutes from established templates.

• To implement amendments to the rules and handbook and to produce an updated rule book annually.

• To oversee and contribute to the development and maintenance of the DAWFL website and social media presence

• To create invoices and send to all clubs for annual league fees and medals from established templates.

• To administer semi-finals and finals of each competition, including the DAWFL Charity Shield.

 Assistance


Support and assistance will be provided on all the above to the successful candidate.


REQUIREMENT OF THE POST HOLDER:


ESSENTIAL


• Good verbal and written communication skills

• A sound knowledge of Association Football within Northern Ireland

• Able to dedicate sufficient time to adequately perform the various duties.

• Be computer literate and skilled in the MS Office Suite

 

HOURS PER WEEK


On average 2-5 hours per week, with time varying during the months of the season.


REWARD


An honoraria will be awarded as determined by the League Committee and ratified by the member Clubs.
